When plans for the first date need to be made, it doesn't matter who's schedule you honor more, remember, you both have to have time off work to make a date happen!

Dear Rob,
Firstly I thank you for taking the time to read this email.

I just got a telephone number from a girl, I have wanted to ask her out of course. She is in sales line, so her working hours are long.

She did mention to me her next off day is on next Tuesday, but she has yet to confirm. So she wants me to call her on Sunday night to confirm a date with her.

Rob, I am a dummy in dating. Pardon me, I have read many articles saying that men should have control over all things, and not to lead by the girl.

So, if I call her at the time as she told me, will she perceived me as obedient guy and lose interest? Am I over thinking this too much?

Please help. Thank you so much for your word of advice.

Hi Bobby,
You’re over thinking it, for the first date.
When she calls, you pick where to meet and go from there.

Ideally when a guy makes the first move to get a girl’s phone number, and he gets it, the call to her should be two or three days later to set up a first date/meeting.
Although it’s better that you plan out what you do, it’s OK if she tells you when she’s available.
All you have to worry about now is her flaking on you.

When you let a girl set the time of the date, if she comes up with an excuse that she can’t meet you, don’t chase after her.

Once a flake, always a flake and she just isn’t as interested as you think. This is accurate most of the time.

Do not turn into a wussy and keep calling her, texting her, emailing her to try to get a date with her if she does that.

Be a man, walk away and should you run into her again, just tell her what a great chance she blew with you.
