Dear Rob,
How do you let a
girl know you like her in a romantic way instead of just wanting to
be her friend (I'm new at this)?
~A
Dear A,
If you want her to know
that you like her, the best way is face-to-face: "Hey, let's go out
together to ... " Surprisingly enough the straightforward approach
works best. It's just too bad that guys are too scared of the
opposite sex to act in a straightforward fashion.
So, if you're a
confirmed romantic, and yet still too afraid to face the girl of
your dreams, here are some suggestions to get noticed, in a romantic
way:
-
If you know she
listens to the radio at a certain time, request a song for her
(you can even create a
radio internet
broadcast with her favorite songs and include ads that have
special messages for her)
-
If you share a
bus ride, have the driver hand her a small gift from you that
has a note in it with your name and a short romantic poem in it
-
When she's at work, send a group of singers to her with
romantic songs. You can usually find such groups in the yellow
pages
-
Write a poem about how you think your life together would be
and mail it to her, one line at a time, two days apart (email
works too)
-
Send her a
rose with a special message inscribed on it
-
Send her a
message in
a bottle that has a description of your first date, time and
place, in it
Keep in mind, you can
be anonymous or have your name associated with each of these
suggestions. But if you go to all of this trouble and don't reveal
yourself at the same time you can be certain that someone else will
take the credit .... and the girl!
