Revenge
When A Friend Tries To Break You Up

Dear RG,
I've been with my current boyfriend for about a year. Before I started
dating him, while the relationship was still in the friends phase, I had a
fling with a guy I had dated before and had recently broken up with one of
my friends. I broke it off and ended up moving away, and now a year later,
my friend told the guy I hooked up with that I was getting with him on the
side of my current boyfriend. It's a year later, and I'm in a very serious
relationship that I don't want to ruin. I don't want her or anyone else to
ruin it either! I want revenge on this so called "friend" of mine. She's
trying to wreak the first great relationship I've been in! Help! -M
Hi
M,
Your revenge request follows a common thread: defending previous
relationships against jealous so-called 'friends' spreading around crap
about your previous relationships to the important person of your new
relationship (your new better half).
You have to wonder why this person is trying to ruin your relationship? What
power does she either:
1) Have over you?
OR
2) Think that she has over you?
And why are you so possessive? Are you a stalker in training? These are
questions you need to ask yourself before you decide that you need revenge.
But, since you asked, this is what you do:
Spread her phone number and email address around. Let guys know that she's
available and easy. This will keep her busy and give you time alone with
your guy.
