Ask RG

Dear RG,
H
ow are you? I enjoy your site.

I have this friend Bill, who has been my friend for a while.

But then he started to change. He graduated college and won $600 on a cruise.

He also started dating this girl, Sharon (everyone calls her the big fat piece of s---) who is real annoying lump of lard who dictates to him how his friendship with me should go.

He liked to buy burgers for me and other stuff. I do the same for him, though, no food.

Now he didn’t because the POS (piece of s---) told him to not do that.

We were supposed to go to a function last year and I had a disagreement with my sister, Ethel. Ethel complained to Bill and his sister who screwed me out of my 24th b-day present who lied and didn’t want me to accompany them even though its none of their business.

They screwed me other times, even accusing me of calling POS names. He brags and wont shutup about his money and how much money he has.

He seems insecure in areas, as he always relies on other people to do his thinking.

He also is secretive and always says to me “a source told me this” when I know who the source is.

Whenever I make plans, he always screws them and makes his own plans whom everyone follows. I don’t want to do anything wrong but how do I let him know how I feel?? Thanks

RG's AnswerHi,
What you do is drop him as a friend.

After all, he doesn’t take your friendship to heart does he?

No, because you’re always available to do stuff.

Start being unavailable… and when he tells you stuff, just tell him to shut up, you already know the truth about so-and-so.

Take the wind out of his sails and find some better friends.

No revenge here, you just need to be a little more independent and stand up for yourself and the people that you really do have as friends.

Dump him.

Live well, that's the best revenge.
