This week's long distance relationship story
The fates seem to be looking over us that night,
when we accidentally met in a bar in New Jersey while he was on tour. We had a
brief conversation and then exchanged e-mail addresses with the promise of an
e-mail when he returned home.
About 2 weeks later, there it was, the e-mail that I was secretly anticipating.
I read it a couple of times, and carefully thought out my response. From there on
the letters were more loving, and we were learning everything we could about
each other.
Then one day we decided to take the risk and plan a time to see each other
again. Now that wasn't easy task since I am in New York, and he is in Los
Angeles. So I braved the trip out there. It was wonderful, short, but amazing.
We are now going on our 4th trip, 2 phone calls a day and writing constantly.
I have been in long distance relationships before, but this one is incredibly
different. I am really in love this time, and I just crave to be with him. He
tends to get jaded sometimes with thoughts of "is this really worth it." I feel
that this will probably work, since I have made the choice to move out there by
the end of next year, but for him it seems to be a bit more difficult.
I hope love and our spirits will conquer all!
