I have a long distance
relationship with my boyfriend who lives in London, England, and I live
in Canada. Well, we've met over a year ago over the internet in a latin-chat
room, it was my second time going in a chat room to meet different
people around the world, and as well for him. That was when I've met
Esteban, who is now my boyfriend. At first, we started out, e-mailing
each other everyday, getting to know each other better, and from the
beginning we've gotten along very well. Time when by, and we were
beginning to have stronger feelings for each other, and that's when one
day while we were chatting on msn messenger, he asked me to be his
girlfriend, and of course I said yes because I liked him alot, and my
feelings got stronger towards him. We would write e-mails every single
day, and then we started talking over the phone everyday for hours, at
that time, we only knew each other by pictures that we would send
through the net.
I was just in love with him, and my love just grew stronger over the
months that went by. My boyfriend and I were having a hard time having
to be far away from each other, and all he wanted is to fly to Canada to
meet me in person, and just be together, but that couldn't be possible,
because of personal reasons, but we've kept our strength and would
continue our relationship and our bond as strong as ever. A year went
by, and our love would just keep on growing stronger, until, I was
getting just too depressed by not being able to be with him, that I
decided that I would fly out myself to London, to go see and be with
him. My parents at first were not too happy about the idea of me going
to meet him, because of how I've been brought up, that the guy is the
one that should come and meet me instead, but again, he's not able to
leave England for now, so I just said, that I have to see him in person,
i couldn't stand being without him, so my dream came true, a month after
I decided that I wanted to go meet him,
I finally met my boyfriend in person, all my friends and family were
amazed of my relationship with Esteban, and how we've been strong enough
to be apart from each other and still have that great bond. On December
4th, 2003, a flew out at 9:30pm from Toronto over to London, England. I
arrived there, and it was the most wonderful feeling ever, being able to
see him, right in front of me, was just the best, we've hugged so
strong, and he was just great, everything I imagine he would be, and
even more. I spend, a whole month with him, it was the best Christmas
and New Years ever, it was just like a dream come true with the magical
beauty of London, England. I had lots of fun, being able to share my
love with him in person and not over the phone or over the net. All I
can say is that I Love him! :)....The day of my return back to Toronto,
was the saddest day of my life, I was just so used to him, and being
with him everyday, that I felt that I was not going to be able to handle
the fact of not being with him for a while.
First couple of days back in Toronto, was just too
depressing for me, I love him too much to be without him, but he still calls
me everyday, we give each other texts on our cell phones during the day, just
trying to keep in touch but, it is hard, I miss him too much and he misses me,
but we are trying to have the strength to keep waiting a little bit longer
until he would be able to come and visit me here. By the way we feel for each
other, we feel that our love will last forever, and we are going to do all
that we can to be one day together again, and during the time we are apart we
are studying/working, and just keeping our relationship as strong as ever.
We love each other and one day our dream will come true and we will live
happily ever after! And it is possible to keep a long-distance relationship,
just have the strength, faith, commitment, and love for it all to work.
