Long Distance Relationship archive
It was a little over 2 years
ago when I first met Molly. I only had the internet for maybe about 3 or
4 months, so I was just getting used to the AOL instant messenger. Well
on one cold October afternoon, a screen name popped up and asked if I
wanted to talk to that certain name. I accepted and had a brief, boring
talk with Molly. At this time, I had my own girlfriend here in new
jersey, and definitely wasn't interested in having a long distance one.
After maybe a month passed, the girl I had here broke up with me, and
everything seemed to be so dark and depressing for me. Then molly and I
started to talk more frequently. She was the light in my almost clouded
world. We talked on and on, about pretty much everything. Soon, we
exchanged pictures and talked on the phone a few times. She seemed like
the friend i never had. And even though I started to grow close to her,
I went out with another girl. Being with this other girl made me see how
great of a person Molly really is.
Finally around in March, me and the other girl ended the relationship,
and I drew closer to Molly. We both felt a little something special for
each other, but was kind of embarrassed to say anything, in fear of
being humiliated.
But one day, Molly said something that changed my world forever, the
most powerful phrase any girl can say to a guy.....i love you. As I read
this on my computer, my heart seemed to lighten, my spirits rose, my
blood started pumping.
Not to long after this, on March 9th, I asked her to go out with
me....she said yes within 2 seconds.
The first few months were hard, and pretty odd to get used to. I had a
lot of temptations, and even offers to be with other girls, but I felt
something towards molly, and I wanted to be with her. We started getting
on the phone a lot more frequently, which our parents didn't like one
bit. Almost every nite, we'd try to sneak in a "good night, i love you"
talk on the phone.
But being away from each
other did have an impact on the both of us. We each had our sad,
jealous, and outright mad moments. Being made fun of by our friends also
didn't help any. Most just couldn't understand our relationship. But
even through all our hardships, our hearts kept telling us to stay
together, and thankfully, we've kept it that way.
We've only met in person one time in June. Her parents drove her out to
see me for a good 3 days, which for the both of us, were the best of our
lives. The moment she stepped out of her car, I could feel a surge of
energy go through my body, like a sense of enlightenment, like nothing
could possibly go wrong at that very moment. The 3 days she was over
here, we were so happy. It was love at first sight all over again. Those
days made me realize what love is truly about. And It'll never end.
The both of us actually talk about what's going to happen after
highschool, like us going to college together. And me moving to Illinois
to be closer. Marriage has also been a big topic too. If I tell you how
old we really are, you'll think were insane....but Molly and I feel
something that's definitely real and true. Nothing can ever tear us
apart. I wish that everybody could experience what I have, but love like
this is just unbelievable. Nobody can ever understand what kind of
connection we have.
To anyone who reads this, don't be afraid to try new things, you never
know if your one true love will be waiting for you on the other side of
the computer. And one last thing....i love you Molly, thank you for
making my life worthwhile. I don't know where I'd be without you hunny....
