I had been single for a little over a year and a
half, when my friend told me that I need to find someone. I was told her that
my heart was locked up and that I will never find anyone that will love me and
that I could completely love.
Well, she got me to put a profile up on a web site and someone will come
along. Well, I did it and within 4 days, I got a few emails, well this one
caught my eye, so I read it. Well, I responded to it and he wrote back. He
told me that he was a truck driver and that he was only home on weekends; so
we really would not see a lot of each other during the week. I was like that
is cool, I can handle that if we got into a relationship.
Well, we hit it off from the start. I did not ever look at the other emails.
The thing was he lived about 15 miles from me, and so that was cool. I had a
feeling that this was the man that I had been looking for all my life.
Well, in one e mail he gave me his cell phone number and asked me to call him.
I did, and we talked for at least 2 hours the first call. We talked alot
during that following week, and we decided that we should meet up. We had
talked about 2 weeks and one day, yes before we met, we said "I love you" to
each other. Then we met and it was love at first sight. We hugged each other
and looked at each other shared a kiss, and said "I love you".
The first weekend together was very special to me,
as every time we are together is special and even though we only spent Friday
evening, night, and stayed together until Sunday. I did cry because I was
going to miss him.
We talk every day, and we are very much in love, and we spend the weekends
together, when he comes in. There are times that he can not make it in. Oh, we
have talked about marriage. There is 11 years difference in our ages, but that
does not bother us.
It is hard to be away from him while he is on the road, but it is getting
easier as time goes on. The first night that he leaves out is the hardest. I
mean like we have spent Friday evening until Sunday morning together, usually
Sunday night is hard cuz I got used to sleeping next to him, even if it was
for 2 nights. When I am in his arms I wish time would stop, and let us just
spend more time together. I do get along with his family, the ones that I have
met anyways. His step dad, mom, sister, nephew, niece, sister and her soon to
be husband. He has met my mom, which was weird in a way how they met. I had
surgery and she was there and he came up and that is where they met. We have
been together 3 months now, and it just keeps getting better.
I really believe that we are meant to be together, and that we will be
together for a very long time. So, yes in a way we have a long distance
relationship. I know how it is to be away from the one that you love so much,
and that you do not want to be without.
