I went to Mardi Gras on vacation and was not
expecting to find love in that wild & crazy environment, but that is exactly
what happened. I had been in a serious relationship for 1 1/2 earlier and had
been separated for 9 months before meeting my true love.
My single girlfriends and I took a weeks vacation to Mardi Gras in Louisiana,
we had a great time and met some wonderful people.
We were at a bar and getting ready to go to
another when these guys caught my eye, one in particular, he had these droopy
brown eyes and it was hypnotizing. Since we were leaving we gave our unopened
drinks to them when my friends decided they were not ready to go after all.
Chris came up to me after receiving the drink I sent his way and introduced
himself, we had a great time and really hit it off.
For the next two days we were inseparable. We exchanged phone #'s and email
addresses, he called me the same night I left it was very sweet. We have been
together ever since but we have a great distance between us. He lives in New
York City and I live in Dallas, TX.
We have seen each other once since we met and are already planning another
trip in August. We talk everyday and it is the best and most refreshing
relationship I have ever been in. We are also talking about me moving to NY to
be with him.
The distance was
tough in the beginning, but as
time goes by it gets easier, because everyday that goes by is another day
closer to us being together. All you need is trust, understanding and great
communication and anything is possible.
