You'll need to join to access the features and as a member you get a private mail box to send and receive mail from other members. To create your profile you need to fill out 4 pages of information about yourself, take your time, remember that this is the first impression that you'll make on someone. Or you can return later to complete it. You can do a profile search by gender and age only or by profile name. There is no search by region or category. Also available is a bulletin board where you can submit posts to the forum to get advice or tips on dating and also post your own stories. We really like the "Cougar" and "Willing Prey" theme, this is definitely a unique online service that you should take a look at.

We found Cupid.com easy to navigate, fast to search through the profiles and full of features that are helpful to their members including the weekly advice column featuring Lisa Daily, author of “Stop Getting Dumped!” and the Date Planner suggestion questionnaire. We really like the feature that allows you to change your online member name, just in case you’re feeling a little different from when you signed up, changing your online name can awaken a whole new attitude and most services require that you re-join to change your online user name.

WHAT YOU'LL FIND: Confusing but easy to join, after that you're on your own. The service seems rather dated and not up-to-date except for the occasional new member.
