If you’ve followed this part of the blog you’ll know already what this is a about: News topics from the past week that you can quickly read online and have some conversation topics ready for this weekend. 1. The Royal Society of Britain has posted online an original copy of “The Memoirs of Isaac Newton” by William Stukeley. Not only posted online but available in 3D too! Silverlight also, for those of you whose old computer cannot handle the 3D software (download may be required for both.)

3. Vancouver Winter Olympics could be snowless. Less than 3 weeks away and there’s little, if any, snow in the Winter Olympics venues. Officials take heat…lol…

4. All star “Hope for Haiti” Telethon at 8:00pm ET tonight. Boasts plenty of stars to help raise money for the relief effort for Haiti after devastating 7.0 earthquake.

5. Amazon “Kindle” to have apps store to compete against unreleased Apple tablet which is widely expected to be unveiled January 27.
