Dating Profile Headline of the Day

Sharing our social light in the darkness.

Sharing our social light in the darkness.

Saturday

Today is the funnest day of the week, don’t you think?

Today I plan on changing some burnt out bulbs in the kitchen (they’re those halogen bulbs that are so hard to replace but when two of four don’t work, it’s time to change them out, right?) then congratulating myself by doing such a hard job that I will spend the rest of the day surfing and learning to play “Warhammer Online” which I joined last week but have only gotten so far as installing the game. Look for me though, I am “Sheroars” in the realm (server) of Volkmar.

Spending time with the people you meet online, whether in a fantasy online game or the more reality of an online dating service, is all part of the social aspect of the “human condition”.

We need to be social. The hard part is realizing that the social aspect of our lives is often left open to inspection and questioning by others.

You need to let the opinions and ideas of others about you roll of your back like water off a duck.

You are the master of your own domain!

And with this realization of our uniqueness that we do share with others, let our dating ad headline reflect our wisdom:
“My aim is true!”

Have a great day!

Things To Do On A First Date

Make your first date great!

Make your first date great!

The first date, when put into perspective, is a magical time.

Think of it: all the things you do with your date will be “firsts”. And when you can share that magic, you really do share something special.

Great first dates include natural magic that you can share, whether it’s a walk in a nature preserve, a guided tour of a popular tourist spot, even a simple and fun game of mini-golf can help you find, and share, the magic that makes two people a couple.

You need to do things that allow you to interact together, not like watching a movie where you both are fixated on something else (the movie), and not something the other person is doing with you, together, and sharing an experience.

To make a first date great, a first date that will invite a second date and more, you want to be open and friendly and, as a warning, do not share any negative thoughts or ideas.

Be open to fun and laughter.

Going back to the mini-golf idea, this is a great example of having fun and even laughing at yourself as you shoot an 18 on a par 3 hole. Let the windmills guide you into a fun place that envelopes the both of you. Do not be harsh as your date flubs one putt after another. Do. Together.

Great first date ideas are not what can you watch but what can you do.

Is there a farm that is open to the public near you? have you ever petted a goat? Or milked one?

Maybe there is a garden maze nearby. Have you ever walked through a botanical garden maze or a corn field maze? You can both get lost, together. Just don’t lose your patience, everyone is allowed to make a wrong turn now and again.

Visiting a museum is a great first date. This allows you to both share the experience of seeing the past unfold before your very eyes.

Conversations during your first date should be about the things that are in front of you or around you. Do not talk at length about your fascinating hobby of “ship in a bottle” building. Certainly, although you find the subject interesting, your date will accept the distress call from a family member or friend and end the date unceremoniously.

Beware the downfall of your ego and talking about yourself too much. Remember, the best conversationalist is a great listener, allowing your date to answer questions that show interest in them is a sure way to increase their attraction towards you.

A final word of advice: relax.

This Week’s Best Conversational News Stories

Time is running on!

Time is running on!

Friday has come, the weekend is here and now you’ve got to be ready for all the pick-ups, come-ons and awkward silent moments in conversations… that is, unless you’re preaored by reading these great news stories from the past week.

Stay current, be interesting. Get prepared now by reading our conversation topic suggestions below.

- Is a robot or human better at kicking field goals? If you’ve ever been stumped by this question you now have the opportunity to find out the answer. This is good for a few great minutes of conversation and can lead to whole new areas of continuing the conversation too.

- Beware when you’re texting personal messages at work! If the place you work for and they supply you with a phone, they may have every right to “ckeck in” on what personal business you’re dealing with while on company property or using your employers electronics. For me it’s a no-brainer, they own it, they can do what they want, even if it means they are invading your privacy. Will the supreme court agree?

- ‘Balloon Boy’ dad to pay $36,000.00 restitution. I have to ask, is 36K enough of a deterrent to stop the next media-crazed individual to staging a news-worthy event for a media starved public? Time will tell. And you can keep up with today’s most popular video on this page.

- Craigslist Lovers. Henry Russell’s book, Craigslist Casual Encounters: The Hilarious and Disturbing World of Seeking Sex Online, is out listing some of the most freakish encounters that have been attempted to occur through the free classified site. Go ahead and read the article, you need a laugh about now anyways. Order your copy of the book here at Amazon.com

Have a great weekend!

Don't you want to wear my red shoes?

Friday

Have you even been down on yourself because of how badly your online dating experience is going?

I mean, not getting any replies to emails, being totally stood-up when you’ve arranged that first real-world meeting with someone that you’ve traded plenty of messages with.

There’s also dealing wit the online competition that you ad is up against – have you checked out the competition’s ads and made sure that your headline stands out than all the others?
If “No”, then why not? That is one of the prime ways to making your headline and your profile shine out!

So, for today, your job is to search your dating service for someone like yourself and see where you are in the results and do whatever it takes to move yourself higher on the list.

And you’re going to start this task with posting this new headline, to get the messages pouring into your email account. This is the headline suggestion for you:
“Don’t you want to wear my red shoes?”

Dating Profile Headline of the Day

Both bold and sultry.

Both bold and sultry.

Thursday

What you see on the left may seem to be a simple lemon peel. But if I were to ask you what else you might see there what would your answer be?

A lemon peel?

Such sad and uncreative people that need help writing personal ad headlines… Ok, this is what you really see on the left:
The beginnings of “lemon zest” (you grate the peel) which offers of itself a flavor enhancement not available with the use of any other ingredient.

Lemon zest is at once both tart and sweet, both bold and sultry.

If we could capture the essence of lemon zest in a personal ad headline what would we write? The style is apparent, the words are not.

I will let you think over your own headline and nudge you with this suggestion:
“I do not turn, you do not walk away.”

Have a great day!
