Get ready to talk… converse… be interesting.

In this blog post I’m going to show you what I think are the best conversational news stories from the past week, so get ready to talk up a storm this weekend.

- 5 mistakes guys make early on that scare women away. Yes, I’m talking about you, dude. And girls, you might want to check this list too, just in case you’re wondering what to do about the guy you just started dating and he hasn’t read this list and straightened himself out.

- Google and Apple begin the advertising fight of the new millennium. If I had to make a bet I’d say that Google recorded “street-view” data streams while outside of Apple’s offices but was still outmaneuvered and will lose about $750 million because of it… mark my words, Google will have egg on their home page face soon enough!

- Shania Twain divorce is final. I always feel for celebrities when their partnerships end. It’s hard enough to have anything close to real relationships with all the paparazzi following every (including private) moment. Shania, if you need someone to talk to, my wife is available to chat. Why not me? I avoid temptation and prefer my wife handle other people’s dramatic issues anyways.

- Gary Coleman deathbed photos sell papers. Yes, we all have a fascination with dead celebrities and celebrities in hiding (right, Elvis?), so why is it a shocker that dead celebrities sell newspapers? Beats me… hell, why did I even select this article as a conversation piece? I dunno, ask someone else. LOL. And don’t forget his model trains!

- New Jersey woman wants to be world’s fattest woman…. to stupid to be a lie! And there’s a video too… OMG! Here’s a quote: “It was just everybody else that wasn’t comfortable with me.”

Remember, it’s not how much you know it’s how well you listen. The best conversationalists are the best listeners and they ask pertinent and probing questions that involves the talker and all of the listeners. You can do this, I’m counting on you!
