Fair Play: Dating Profile Headline of the Day
Sunday – In The Month of Love
“It’s Big Game Day” and no matter what you do, whether you watch the game, have a favorite team or avoid the divisiveness of picking one team over the other, you’ll be called on at some point in the next week to talk about the game.
I don’t have a crystal ball but I do have many Super Bowls under my belt so here is my list favorite “Big Game” sayings that you can freely use, no matter the outcome:
When your team wins:
- It all came down to that one play. Wow.
- I knew it was over when that guy (insert name) ran in for his touchdown.
- The game was actually better than the half-time show
When your team doesn’t win:
- I could have predicted that
- This is why the way the playoffs work the better team loses
- Didn’t watch it, stayed in bed with a cold
While you’re day wastes away, the magnetic pull of your online dating account will continue. Today is a great day to edit your profile and add some pictures. Have you considered taking a few shots of your neighborhood and adding them to your photo gallery? Maybe today is a good day to do this.
For your profile today post this:
“It’s not in the winning it’s in the fair play.”
Have a super day!

Friday’s Popular Conversation Topics
This week’s news has not held back anything, really. I’ve tried to make up stuff like this but you can never outdo reality. Enjoy the read and talk it up this weekend.
- Indian Navy sailors sink their own warship – But it’s not what you think. It was a simple “family day at sea” as the navy personnel shared the day with family members. On the way back to harbor the warship, INS Vindhyagiri (a 3,000-ton warship) was hit by another ship and damaged. As it was towed farther into the harbor a fire broke out and, strangely, as the fire was being put out too much water was pumped into the ship and it was accidentally sunk. Well, at least it wasn’t an accidental nuclear accident, or sunk by aliens… right?
- “Dating service” (or art?) scrapes user profiles and make them members of their dating service. In this day and age it’s easy to take so-called public information and do anything with it. But I expect lawsuits to fly soon enough. *I purposefully did not link directly to the web site but only the news article.
- Might be snow for the Super Bowl in Dallas on Sunday. Only in Texas you say? Nope, it’s everywhere, almost. Check out these Super Bowl apps too.
- Too stupid to have sex? In Canada a judge bars a man from having sex because his IQ is too low. Yeah, right.
- “Two and a Half Men” will continue with or without Charlie Sheen, maybe… CBS cares.
Dating Strategies: Dating Profile Headline of the Day
Friday – In the Month of Love
Dating is all about communication. This is basic and it’s often the most misunderstood.
Communication encompasses body language, the spoken word, and our actions that speak louder than words.
Is it any wonder that when people don’t understand these tools of communication you have breakdowns of emotion and breakups of relationships?
There are plenty of downloadable ebooks that can offer you much more information about these topics, suffice it to say I can’t write everything about them in one, or even several, articles. (Look to the right for some suggested titles and visit the ebooks page too.)
If you can walk and talk then without a doubt you’ve allowed your words to speak differently than your actions at some point and suffered the consequences.
I know, horrible memories.
I want to share with you a strategy for helping others understand you as you are talking with them. This is a salesman’s trick but it also works very well with any type of interpersonal communication. It’s called the “mirror technique” and it’s all about mirroring the body language of the person you’re talking with so that they don’t instinctively sense you as a threat but as a friend instead.
If their arms are crossed across their chest, you do it too. Crossed arms are a sign of defense and preparation for a fight (mostly) but if you mirror this position then you’re instinctively “one of the tribe” and the defense will soon turn to arms at their sides and a more open and friendly posture.
Try this the next time you’re talking with someone, this mirroring technique, and you’re very likely to bring down their defenses and increase your friendship level too.
As for online dating, be open and friendly in your messages and do not prejudge the people you exchange messages with, unless their freaks 9then just don’t respond at all).
The headline suggestion for today is this:
“If you don’t say hello you’ll never know.”
Have a great day!
Plan Your Date: Dating Profile Headline of the Day
Thursday – In The Month of Love
Today is “Get ready for your date day”. Now sure, I know what you’re going to say “But Robert, I don’t have a date planned” and I’d answer you “Yet”.
You don’t have a date yet. But that doesn’t mean you can’t prepare for a date yet. You can walk to interesting places, stroll in the parks (if they’re not buried under a mountain of show anymore) and spend some time inside visiting websites, checking out things to do and places to go, even restaurant menus and reviews.
So you might not have a date yet but you can be prepared (sorry though, no merit badge!). And when the time is right you’ll be ready.
I know, what a great idea!
And here’s another great idea, start your online dating adventure here. And if you’re a first time member it’s free for the next 30 days!
Here’s my final great idea, it’s a headline for you to post to your profile:
“Our date is planned. Want to know what we’ll do?”
Have a great day!
Hump Day’s Motivational Picture

I wish life was my beach!
But take heart, this will be you… or at least someone you know… so enjoy the warm thoughts coming from the poolside bar.
Bastards.
Traction: Dating Profile Headline of the Day

Today is important!
Traction is what we need in life.
A good grip on the ground around us and the power to consistently move forward.
Anyone can give you a push but you alone have the power to continue through life and love; to pursue and enjoy; to achieve and celebrate.
If for nothing else this second month of the year, when new Year resolutions are cast aside, you should prepare yourself for reaching the real goals that may be holding you back from enjoying the life you feel you deserve.
Write down your top three goals and tape them to your bathroom mirror and every morning read them and decide which will be the number one goal for your day. And run towards tat goal, towards the light at then end of the tunnel.
Decide today, decide now, what is most important to you. And go!
Today’s headline suggestion is this:
“I’d like you to be part of what is most important to me.”
Have a great day!
Cupid: Dating Profile Headline of the Day

Welcome to The Month of Love
This month being February, Valentine’s and all of the romantic mess that get’s boyfriends and husbands into trouble and singles of both (all?) sexes into a funk, has arrived.
Whoopee!
I’ll say this straight up then I won’t have to repeat myself for the next 27 days “Enjoy what you have because you won’t have it forever”.
Now, you can take that statement any way you’d like it, but it means what it means and it means something different for each of us.
As for you in particular, look forward and don’t turn back because this month could bring about the positive change that you’re looking for. And I know that you’re looking.
You can hit for the home run and communicate for free all month long (if you’re American) at eharmony.com.
Or you can take it a bit slower (or faster) with dating at Lavalife.com, also free all month long, and join one or all three of the dating communities there.
It’s all up to you and it’s your choice.
I suggest this headline to get you started, without being too corny:
“Has Cupid sent you my way?”
Have a great day!
