Where Are You? Dating Profile Headline of the Day
Do you know where you are now and where you’re headed towards?
I’ve offered you the “Failure to prepare” quote before and I try to only repeat myself on special occasions. This isn’t one of them.
On this day I hope you’ve succeeded in your ability to plan your day and to handle your responsibilities as only you know how they need to maintained for you to succeed.
Life can be good and I am certain that since you’ve come this far that you are aware of how much farther you need to go to reach your own goals and be cable to help with the goals for those of your family and friends that you take responsibility of.
Here is a short exercise to help define your life by distance.
Step 1: Go to Google Maps and pick as the first destination your work address (if it’s the same as your home address skip the next step). Save each of the destinations asked for in this and the following steps. On a list right down the last date (if more than one) of each map marker.
Step 2: Enter your home address. (Save it.)
Step 3: Enter the address you went on your last date, an approximation is fine if the date has been so long ago the address is a foggy memory. (Save it.)
Step 4: Enter the address of the last family member (of your own family) you went to visit. (Save it.)
Step 5: Continuing doing this until the last 6 months of your life have been marked by place markers on the map, with the dates as accurate as possible, there won’t be a test after this one so don’t worry too much about a week here or there.
Step 6: Print out the map with detail enough to see the markers you’ve placed on the map.
This map is the “History of the world (insert your name here) style”.
You have been and went, come and gone. Some places more often than others and some places not enough. And I will leave this with two final tasks.
Task 1: Tape your newly printed map and printed list together on your fridge, on your bedroom wall or somewhere easily seen but not overly noticeable that every person will ask you what it is for, how it is to be used.
Task 2: On return to each marked by a place marker draw a circle around it.
Over the next six months pay attention to how the circles grow on the map. They are telling you a secret. That secret will be revealed to you on request.
For your profile ad headline today I suggest this:
“I have my life under control except for one more surprise – you!”
Have a great day!
Friday’s Conversation Topics
I work hard (well not any recent time in memory) but when I did work I searched high and low for the best news stories of the past week that would provide for you great conversational topics and openers. I’m almost completely back to work, just a while longer to heal (it’s a long story) and i should be good to get to it.None the less, I offer you these top news stories to read and allow you to be prepared for a conversation with a new friend that will go beyond the usual exchange of a few niceties and then awkward silence. Let’s begin shall we:
- Mom Sells Baby for $15K Disney Trip: Cops – A new mom is in hot water after selling her newborn son for $15,000 so she could take her other two sons on a trip to Disney World, according to court documents. In late September, police got another tip that led them to the place where Wismer and Gavaghan met to finalize the deal… Well, this would usually be classified as “weird news” but…
- ‘I’ve become so good at the dating game I’m addicted to it’: Meet the matchmaking expert who cannot hold down a boyfriend. Hayley Quinn, who has helped teach 100,000 men how to seduce women cannot find a boyfriend for a reason that would have scandalised high society Georgians: she is addicted to casual flings…
- Self-reported drunk driving is down. (AP) The decline may be due to the down economy: Other research suggests people are still drinking as heavily as in years past, so some may just be finding cheaper ways of imbibing than by going to bars, night clubs and restaurants…
- Hacker Group Anonymous Threatens to Attack Stock Exchange. The FBI is investigating threats purportedly from the hacking collective that calls itself Anonymous to bring down the New York Stock Exchange on Monday by hacking into its computer system. Members of the notorious hacker group appear to be threatening to bring the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York to a dangerous new level, sounding a call to “declare war on the New York Stock Exchange” on Monday by “erasing” it from the Internet…
- Slutwalking into History. There seems to be a lot of slutwalking going on these days. According to news reports like this one, the protests that began in Toronto last month have gone global. If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, the slutwalk protests aim both to reclaim the word “slut” from those who use it to try to shame women for being openly sexual creatures and to redirect that shame to where it belongs: aimed squarely at men who feel justified in sexually abusing women. The message is something like, “Fine, I’m a slut. Now, buzz off!” Fair enough, I’d say.
The Friday night conversation is alive and well, as long as you’re prepared. Have a great weekend!
Start With Local: Dating Profile Headline of the Day

A bicycle built for two.
This amount of people is either very good for you or very bad for you.
I’d like to be encouraging but let’s be serious about such huge numbers: they pale in contrast to the overall number of monthly internet users worldwide (estimated to be almost one third of the world’s population) and doesn’t mean conclusively that you will find your life-partner using an online dating service.
But as my grandfather was fond of saying “If you don’t try you lose 100% of the time”.If you want to be a shining example of the successfulness of online dating I suggest you start searching for your perfect match in your local area. You’re certain to not find a match if you’re looking in the wrong state or country, unless you’re looking for a foreign bride.
To be certain you’re best off to join a top ten dating service for the most exposure of your personal ad and profile and limit your searches to an area that you’d actually travel to for a first meeting or date.
You also might want to test out today’s personal ad headline suggestion:
“Just me and you and a bicycle built for two.”
Have a great day!
Your Time Deficit: Dating Profile Headline of the Day

Combating a time deficit crisis is a daily challenge.
Are you often running a “time deficit”, wishing there were more hours in a day, pushing items on your to-do list from today to tomorrow?
Surprisingly, time management is often overlooked by people who have a lot to do. Even some of us with just a few obligations throughout the day end up feeling rushed and “out of time”.
Combating a time deficit crisis is a daily two-step process, relatively simple to create but very difficult to master.
Step 1: Get yourself a day-timer, journal or notebook that is small enough to carry around with you. In this notebook you’re going to create a list, each morning, of the day’s duties. Add chores throughout the day as needed.
Some of you are going to say you don’t have the five or ten minutes to sit and think of what needs to be done but I ask you “Have you been living your life as a headless chicken, rushing to and fro throughout the day?”
Step 2: At the end of the day take out your journal and check your list of chores and appointments. Cross off the items you completed and, if necessary carry the incomplete items to the next day, or move them to another day in the future. This will also shorten the amount of time you’ll need in the morning to prepare your day. This is most important!
When this is done give yourself 30 minutes of “time out” time to cool-down from the pressures of the day. Meditate, read a book, listen to music (no television watching!), do something restful for yourself. This should be the last chore of your day, then go to bed.
Managing your time deficit gives you time back to live your day. Starting the day knowing what you need to do and ending your day by marking your accomplishments and providing a cool-down period de-stresses yourself and ends the day on a positive note.
You owe yourself a time management regimen to better manage stress and life. Start today!
For your dating profile headline give this one a try:
“I have the time if you have the place.”
Have a great day!

Art of Conversation: Dating Profile Headline of the Day
The art of conversation, without a doubt, is under attack from all sides.
It’s not that we don’t have something to say, everyone is texting, emailing, checking their walls all the time. We just don’t have anything to say to someone “in person”.
It’s easier to have a conversation when you can wait 30 seconds, or a couple of days, to reply, to give yourself an opportunity to think about what to say. To be facing someone and not answer immediately would certainly make you seem stupid, or worse. But the issue of a timely response doesn’t exist in cyberspace or on your smartphone.
And if you’re not taught how to have a face-to-face conversation with someone, well, what chance do you have? Better to pretend to be busy with something else than to worry about having to say something with your lips! Am I right?
The art of conversation, like dating, is a matter of learning, reading and a lot of practice.
And I’ll give you a conversational tip too:
When you’re asked “What do you do?” don’t give a three word answer (I’m a writer), offer a short story instead about something funny that happened on your job and then ask the person if they have a similar story, or if they can guess what you do.
It’s the beginning of a conversation that makes a conversation happen… or not. So do your part and practice the art of conversation starting today.
For your dating profile headline try this one out today:
“Isn’t it time to have a conversation face-to-face?”
Have a great day!
It Started As A Regular Day: Dating Profile Headline of the Day

Our resolve remains
And it still feels like a bad dream and I’m waiting for someone to wake me up, to save me.
September 11, 2001 started as such a regular day.
I am sure that over the past few days I have not been the only one reliving the horror, looking for reason and truth to give this day a place to settle into. A way to make the reality of the events that unfolded understood.
But I cannot. The images, the sounds, are too raw still. PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) is still very real for survivors, even those hundreds and thousands of miles away.
I cannot make sense of it all but I still hope to honor those that are even today fighting the good fight, taking revenge and protecting the weak even to the ultimate sacrifice.
On this day I offer you this as your dating headline:
“To honor those that have sacrificed we must return to a normal life”.
Have a great day!

Time To Start Dating Again: Dating Profile Headline of the Day
When is the time right to date other people after a relationship breakup?
Why would I write this post when, clearly, you’re dating now and have moved on from your past indulgences (me)? For some people the answer to the above question = a few weeks to a month.
All the more power to you, but are you really setting your previous partner free? Have the feelings you once had entered their own ice age?
To be certain that you’re free and clear of your past relationships, keep away for a couple of weeks, maybe more. Including no emails, texts and phone calls.
After 14 to 28 days you can decide to send an email for them to answer or not, or simply take the next step and ask for a restraining order if you have not been likewise left alone. Did I say keep all copies of they’re emails and texts and voicemail messages?
If you receive texts and emails and voicemails from that person, it shows how much they still need you in their life, even if any type of help will be thrown back into your face. Do yourself a favor and ignore them all.
I’m sure you’ve done all you can. You’ve bit down on the bullets, you’ve drained your bank accounts, and nothing ever was good enough. When the pot of gold empties, some types move on.
But some pass the test. Hey, embrace the challenge and allow for no one else to take the blame for your own current circumstances.
This, basically, is the type of person you want to date.
Your new date should be unencumbered by previous responsibilities and waiting in awe as their new world unfolds before them with you by their side.
Tread carefully and enjoy your new freedoms. My profile headline suggestion for you today to us is:
“I have followed the rainbow and am ready to share the gold I found.”
Have a great day!
Normal: Dating Profile Headline of the Day
I like to think that “some” of the small things in life actually give us an open window into our own future.
As your life (spins) into a free-falling state and you’re grabbing onto any small thing that can “return normal” for you, normalcy will return to your life and, by using the right guides, control over your life becomes second nature.
What we percieve to be normal (each in our own unique way) can only be our normal. The main people-varient to normal is whether others see normal the same way we do. And this brings with it plenty of room to guess and get things wrong about other people.
Hopefully they’re not making the same mistakes about us too. And this leads us to today’s personal ad headline that I strongly suggest you use for the next couple of days.
Your next date should be with someone that accepts your invitation with the time that they’re available and having brunch with you is already in mind. Good stuff!
None of that awkwardness surrounding the question you’d otherwise be dying to ask “Do you want to go out for a meal with the?” and fretting for the answer minutes, maybe even days later, because your profile headline has done most of the work for you, in advance.
Post this headline and watch the messages you receive plough into your inbox:
“When is the best time to invite you to a Sunday brunch?”
Have a great day!
