Give A Winning Compliment

The first rule of a great compliment is to make certain it’s a real compliment. If the compliment isn’t believable you’ll come across as either a groupie or a liar. If she has great eyes, you might say so. If her eyes are hidden behind thick glasses (and she never takes them off) her eyes might be a bit of a touchy subject for a true compliment.

Generally safe topics for compliments for a woman are: smile, hair, eyes, shoes, nails, dress/fashion sense and finally body (unless she’s in a bikini then her body is number one!).

Men appreciate compliments on: hair, eyes, smile, dress/fashion and sexiness.

The second rule of giving someone a great compliment is to not overdue it. If you’re dating and you give her a compliment every time you see her, you’ll soon start repeating yourself and seem to her to be not a sincere person in your compliment giving. The best compliment givers are stingy with their warming words. Unless she (or he) is really into themselves, giving a compliment should be separated by 3 or 4 dates, maybe even a few weeks or more. But just don’t test the waters by overdoing your complimentary niceness.

The third rule about giving a compliment is to do it privately. Lean in and whisper your compliment, this creates a certain receptive mood of something special being said and it won’t insult or show up other people as if you were to announce the compliment in a group. Women, and men, do compare themselves to others and saying your compliment aloud in a group can be insulting to others and change the mood from friendly and fun to antagonistic and unfun.

Once you’ve decided to begin your online dating adventure, you need three things to have on your side to be prepared:

There are several rules for guys that are used when you meet a great women, have a fun night together, you really like her and then what do you do?

I prefer that you can call the next day, just to say that you had a great time last night, she looked awesome, can I call later this week so we can get together again? This approach generates more successful second dates that the other dating rules you might know.

Another rule is that you wait three days before calling her to set up another date. This delay tactic is supposed to generate a stronger attraction for you but can often backfire in frustration by your possible date because she has wondered too long about why you didn’t call her. A lot of potential negative reasons go through her mind at by the time you do call her she’s so frustarted by your lack of communication that she’s already given up on you, even if she did feel a strong attraction for you.

The last popular “should you call her rule” is to wait for her to call you. This is not good at all. Even if you preclude the possibilities that she lost your number and a hundred other negative concerns, if you leave the phone call up to her you may never know why she didn’t call you. And, of course, she might have been waiting for you to call her.

Another couple of things to remember:
- don’t text message her, she wants to hear your voice to re-experience the strong attraction she has for you;
- emails are equally bad, they don’t communicate the emotion you both may feel which becomes a negative feeling sooner;
- Don’t have along phone call, it’s too interrupting to the attraction she may feel, plus you may say something stupid or talk about things that she’s not interested about, and again you create a positive attraction into a neutral or negative feeling for you.

The first rule is the best, keep the call short, sweet, to the point, have a plan of a possible next date (but don’t mention it, this will be your next call to her in a daye or two) and know that you’ve done your best to make her attracted to you.

Happiness is infectious

Normally I’d TGIF all over this post, you know that if you’ve been here on any previous Friday.

But today I am back at work after the past 4 days of being sick. You’d think that any sickness that kept you off work Monday to Thursday would be nice enough to hang around for a few extra hours and maintain the status quo of one more day off… but no, I’m not that lucky.

I did have some fun, maybe a little too much, at a website called IAmHappyForYou.com, the rudest magic 8 ball game ever online, maybe. If you ask I’d have to say I was there just to see the answers.

Otherwise I am happy and well, thank you. I hope you are too.

This weekend brings us within 7 weeks or so of Christmas. This means your plans have to start being made and any travel arrangements researched so you get the best price. if you’re shopping early for gifts I’d like a new Dodge 1500 truck, but I’m not really hoping too much. Maybe just a new frying pan will suffice.

I’d like to think that the coming season brings us happiness and wealth but the reality is that unless you work hard for happiness and wealth they just won’t happen.

Happiness is not only a state of mind it’s also a matter of health. And of your personal outlook on life. When you look towards nirvana you have hope for a better life and you reach towards it not only as a goal but as a roadmap for your life.

And wealth? You can buy all the lottery tickets you want, and leave wealth to chance, or you can build your own stack of one dollar bills one week or month at a time, and celebrate having some money when you really do have some money.

What does all of this have to do with dating? Everything. When you are happy you will infect others with happiness. When you have a few extra dollars your stress levels will decline and you’ll have even more happiness.
