Friday’s Conversation Topics

It’s the end of the week, for all the Monday-to-Friday people out there, and they need help.

I offer the help they need, mainly in the form of news stories from the previous week that make for great conversation topics. There’s never a fear of talking to a stranger when you have something interesting to say, so read on, McDuff, and learn to spin a tale all will want to hear!

- Stuxnet makes Iran a target. It’s about time someone did something, am I right?

- Mad as Hell was yesterday. People everywhere up in arms over the hidden fee agenda that airlines have to pick our pockets while we check in or arrive at the gate. Were you part of the protest?

- Fake Tide grabbed at the gate. Customs agents find laundry detergent from China falsely labeled and clean up this ring of crime.

- Lindsay Lohan not passing “Go” and headed straight back to jail. Did anyone actually lose money on this bet?

- Spray-on clothes revealed on catwalk. Who said models need to actually wear anything anymore?

Friday Conversation Topic Picks

This Friday has been witness to some great news, subjects that have great conversation potential.

So when you’re tready to make some conversation with a person you’ve just met, or you’re with someone again and have to really try to make yourself into an interesting person, remember these conversation topics:

- Mackenzie Phillips (Child star of TV’s “One Day at a Time“) reveals a sexual relationship with her dad. The news story is here and you’ll want to brush up on John Phillips too, a founding member of “The Mama’s and Papa’s” rock group.

- Iran’s nuclear site is exposed and could be the start of the world’s next major conflict. Read the article here.

- Bad customer service from your bank? You might want to sue for 1,784 billion, trillion dollars like Dalton Chiscolm is doing. Read about the lawsuit that wants more than “all the money in the cosmos” here.

Remember, the best conversationalists are often the best listeners too. And for goodness sake’s, look her in the eye, not the chest!
