There’s another saying that if a person wants an easy life they should have been born in an earlier time. But really, the flush toilet has only been around for a hundred and some years, do you really want to know what they did in the 1840′s? And what about travel? We now are more mobile than ever before. Would you really rather live in a time where your whole life would be living on a farm on the edge of a small town and never traveling more than 10 miles from home, from your birth to death?

When you are satisfied with your life and can still set achievable goals for your future you will be truly happy.

I wish that much for you, even if everything else seems lost. We will always have Las Vegas…

Who likes travel?

I am happily back home. I really, really hate long car drives, I think that the next time I have to travel by car for 5 hours I’m going to buy a plane ticket and get there in 30 minutes.

I really do like to be in new places, see new sights and faces… I just hate all the effort it takes to get there.

Please, oh please, “Beam me up Scotty!”

Yes, sometimes I do live in a fantasy world. I think that we all do, at different times. This can be a good thing,, as long as we remember that fantasy is an escape from everyday but it’s not a life to live.

We’ve all known people that just couldn’t sort out their lives, no matter how much we tried to straighten them out. perhaps you’ve even dated someone like that.

A bent hanger will always have twists in it, no matter how skilled we are at the straightening.

And this thought leads us to my headline suggestion for you today, so post this and get the attention from a new admirer:
“I am not a miracle worker but I will change your life for the better!”

The reality of being a sports writer is far from glamorous, I’m sure.
First of all you have to love sports, not really really like, but L-O-V-E sports. I figure I’m in the “really, really like” fan section but I couldn’t give you the names of any three players for any one team, in any sport. And if the game isn’t on TV or written up in the crime section of an online news website I probably missed it.

Being a sports writer, I’m sure, involves a lot of numbers, math, knowing games rules better than most referees, inglorious travel, late night writers block, and trying to not hate what you do for a living.

All that probably explains exactly why I’m not a sports writer. If that stuff attracts you, then take journalism as your major, or start a blog and get 1,000 channels of sports Tv and a great coffee maker.
