You’ve heard many of these before: Men can’t cook or dress well, they hate to shop, and they drink a lot of beer. They’re male myths and we’ve compiled a top 10 list of the most popular. This list of male myths concerning lifestyle is based off the questions in our Great Male Survey, and the results revealed what modern men have on their mind, one of those things being whether our top 10 male myths are fact or fiction.

Number 10

Men can't cook
Just look at all the cookbooks for newly divorced men, bachelors and married men and you get the idea we have no inherent cooking talent. The other evidence: your dad. It’s a good bet his best dishes were more of the grilled hamburger, popcorn, poached egg, and reheated lasagna variety. However, is this perception still fair or cooked up? Men will eat anything
The evidence is there; how else would you explain the Philly cheese steak, deep-dish pizza, poutine, and the triple bacon cheeseburger? If there’s one slice, a handful of fries or a bite of burger left over, it’s widely believed that a guy will wolf it down in a second -- waist size and cholesterol count be damned. Number 8

Men don't follow fashion
Gucci suit, Hugo Boss tie, Dolce & Gabbana shoes? Sure, if they’re cheap and comfortable. Otherwise, Sears and Target fit the bill for guys. Men are obsessed with cars
This male myth starts with teenagers. It’s believed male teens display posters of the latest female model next to the latest Lamborghini model. Then into adulthood they replace posters with the diecast car models they put on their desks at work, they read Car and Driver, regularly argue that McLaren has better cars than Ferrari, and if they have a big enough paycheck, they buy a sports car that they wax every weekend. From watches to shoes to form-fitting suits, Italian men have a long history of looking good.
