What’s In Your Stars For Love In August

by Carol Allen

Tip: The following is an overview of the astrological forces for the month of August - especially as they relate to your personal life.

Let me assure you, no matter who you are, celestial energies have an ENORMOUS impact on your love life (or lack of one...), so I'm sharing in the hope that this helps you to make the best of things, and allows you to align yourself with the forces of the Universe.

Keep in mind I'm referring to the movements of the planets through the Sidereal zodiac used in Vedic astrology (the ancient system of India) which differs from and is considered more astronomically accurate than the calculations of the Tropical zodiac of Western astrology.

These influences affect all of us - some of us more strongly than others, however, depending on how they are interacting with your entire personal astrological chart...

Dear friend,

Awww, August. A month all about bar-b-que's, lazy days at the beach, and watching meteor showers from your roof...

The last chance to go fishing, or hiking, get a glorious tan before school starts, and walk hand-in-hand with your fella on the board- walk, eating saltwater taffy and cotton candy...

(I feel like Danny and Sandy and all their friends should start singing, "Summer Loving" right about now.)

Well, this August might not be so much like that.

This year things are a bit, how should I say it?

Extreme.

Right from the first day.

On August 1st there is a total eclipse of the Sun in the sign of Cancer.

(This is the first total eclipse of the Sun in two-and-a-half years...)

It involves Mercury, which will be squished between the Sun and Ketu, an eclipse point.

So - anything having to do with the sign of Cancer, the Sun, or Mercury will be extra WONKY.

(That's actually the scientific word for it...)

The Sun is an indicator of career.

Mercury rules contracts, media, business, communication of all kinds, and electronics.

And Cancer is the sign of home and hearth, and land and real estate. (Sadly, a total eclipse of the Sun in Cancer does portend that the real- estate market and the crisis in America of people losing their homes to foreclosure will get worse).

So, typically it's not the best time to start something very important having to do with any of those areas.

It's more of a time to improve or correct issues - fix those things around the house that need repairing, revisit some paperwork you've been neglecting, clean out that garage that's full of junk...

As for relationships, eclipses can make things a bit tricky.

Eclipses create a lot of sensitivity, confusion, emotional ups and downs, and health problems for us mere mortals.

And when Mercury is unhappy, which it is until the 7th, communication gets pretty disjointed or potentially fraught with problems all around.

(He'll forget your birthday, you'll bring up something from ten years ago he thought was forgiven long ago, and old tensions will come back to bite you in the proverbial love bum, etc.)

The couple of weeks before and after an eclipse is an excellent time to dig a big ditch and take cover.

Okay, I'm being dramatic.

In India eclipses are considered bad omens, and throughout history, people have submerged themselves in the Ganges chanting spiritual mantras and prayers for the duration of the eclipse.

It's not recommended to look at them, or be outdoors during them - especially if you're a pregnant woman.

(This is just tradition - I really don't think it will cause a miscarriage or anything crazy like that - just reporting the facts here...)

These themes are important to pay attention to the entire month, because right on the heels of the Solar eclipse is a partial Lunar eclipse on the 16th in Aquarius.

Solar eclipses tend to have more to do with worldly affairs, world markets, business, and politics.

Lunar eclipses tend to have more to do with emotional, spiritual issues.

My advice?

Don't make major decisions in your romantic life - don't move in with someone, become engaged, or marry them, don't start new romantic pursuits like hiring a matchmaker or joining a dating site - until this weird energy has passed.

It's okay to revisit someone you've known from before, and it's a good time to get more in touch with yourself and what you want and need in your personal life.

But put off any major confrontations, dramas, or ultimatums until September.

They simply won't go well.

(By the way, ultimatums NEVER go well... NEVER say to a man, "You must do this or ELSE," - only say, "Here's what I'm realizing I really need. So we should decide if this is what we both want, or I may need to make a different choice..." Big difference, though the same meaning. Get it?

Try to laugh off whatever personal or professional snafus you may go through.

Whether it's an earthquake (like we just had in Southern California), a broken appoint- ment with a client or friend, an appliance that decides to up and keel over - all things typical under such WONKY vibes - remind yourself that this, too, shall pass.

And get excited for later in the month.

The saving grace is that on the 25th, Mercury goes into its most powerful sign, where it's considered exalted.

And Venus, the planet of love, will join it on the 26th, making the month end with a lot more joy and peace, and diplomacy.

This will help clean up any problems that occurred earlier in the month...

That fight you had will lead to better communication than ever.

That printer that died will be replaced with one you like twice as much.

All that sensitivity you felt will make you realize new ways you want to be and things you want to do in your life (and love life) that will ultimately make you much happier...

And the next thing you know you'll be so glad for all the nuttiness and chaos you went through.

So please don't dig a ditch, or jump in a river, or do anything drastic.

And by all means DO go get a tan, go for a hike, walk hand-in-hand on the boardwalk, and enjoy all the best things August has to offer.

This is an excellent month to evaluate your love life, and reflect on what you need to improve about yourself and others, but if you're not sure if you're with the man for you - then check out "The Right Man Report" with him.

"The Right Man Report" is a compatibility report that reveals fifteen areas of connection or DISCONNECTION between you and a man.

Relationships have their own energy, and their own destiny...

And, no matter how great you are, or he is, it's much easier to be your best, most communicative, healthy self with a man who is truly good for you, and relationship that supports you both.

If your guy doesn't make you feel supported, he may not be your guy, even if you really love each other.

Find out if you're the one with the problem, or if the problem is more about how the two of you are together.

Carol AllenIt's all in the Report.

And you can learn all about it and sign up for my free newsletters right here.

And my God and his planets and stars shower you with love all month long!
