email interview between Rob of aLoveLinksPlus.com and Richard of
Datingagency.
Rob: Richard, can you tell
us how long datingagency.com has been online?
We launched the site June 2001 but it spent nearly 2 years in
development. As with most dating sites we ran it as a totally free site
for the first few months to build up our database. On 1 October 2001 we
started charging for our club membership service.
Can you describe your
average male and female members?
I'd like to think that we don't really have an average male or female
member. datingagency.com designed to be a fun, friendly and safe site
that caters for all kinds of different people with the important thing
being they are looking for a genuine lasting relationship.
Can you tell us about the
newsletter that you offer? The type of content we can expect in it?
Sure. We have a weekly newsletter that goes out to members who request
it. The newsletter contains a list of the latest members to join
datingagency.com in your local area. And the great thing is not only
does it show you members in your own area, but it only shows members of
the sex you are looking for too. The list contains html links directly
to the new member's profiles so you can take an instant look at any one
of interest.
Do you know of any marriages or
engagements that have taken place with couples that have met at
Datingagency?
Although the site has not even been going for a whole year yet we have
indeed had a couple of engagements that we know about although there
could well be an awful lot more. Only a small number of very brave
couples take the courage to write to us and tell us about their success
but the stories we do receive are all published on our site under our
Success Stories link. We even have a few photos of happy couples who
have met through datingagency.com
What feature would you say
makes Datingagency stand out above other online dating services?
We are working on new features all the time in an effort really make
datingagency.com not only the friendliest and best dating site but also
the one the most innovative. The "My Admirer's" and "Who's Looking?"
features are all quite neat. Any member can add another member to their
"favorites" list. When they do this the member who has been chosen as a
favorite is sent an email telling them they have an admirer and giving
them a link directly to their admirer's profile. This feature is
available even to guest members.
The "Who's Looking?" feature lets all members see which other members
have viewed their profiles in the last couple of months. It's a great
way of seeing who's eyeing you up!
Please tell us the differences
between your free and club membership plans.
Guest membership is totally free. With it you can add your own profile
and photo and search the site for others. You can also reply to messages
that have been sent to you from others. The main thing you can't do is
initiate contact with another member. You also get free daily horoscopes
from top astrologer Russell Grant!
Club membership offers members the ability to send unlimited messages to
others. It also includes extra features such as becoming top of the
search results, monthly and weekly horoscopes, advanced searching
including keyword searches, the ability to save searches, horoscope
matching and a featured profile on our home page.
Do you have any specials or
promotions planned? New features coming soon?
We ran a special promotion over Valentine's Day with a special rate on
our one month's subscription which was very successful and plan to do
similar promotions in the future. As for new features - Yes, lots of
them! Our design and programming team are currently working on things
such as multiple photos, video messaging, on-line interactive chat and
lots more. We plan to continually introduce a whole host of new features
as time goes on and technology changes.
