WHAT WE FOUND: Blinddater is a great way to break the ice and meet people from all over and close to you. There is a tour that explains the basics of the features available but you need to register to be able to do more than a basic search of the current members. Becoming a member only takes a few moments, 5 pages of very basic questions for you to complete. Once you have received your account activation email, at the email address you registered with, you’re ready to add more information about yourself as well as use the (limited) number of free messages you can trade with other members before you become a paying member. Features include adding a photo and a custom frame picture of yourself to your profile, a photo gallery of your favorite images, a voice clip that you can record on your computer and upload to your profile for others to hear you, fast and location dependant searches (using this feature and changing around out registered location we found many people in large and small towns that fit our match criteria), weekly new member match newsletter and Ask Dr.Date for advice column. Chat rooms and private chats for you to meet others openly and privately. Use the “Diary” to keep track of things, no one else can read it, and use the “Guestbook” on other members profiles to leave them a short message. We like the rate the picture section of each profile, so be sure to have a picture ready to upload to your profile when you register. Paid members have “Peaktime Priority” so their profiles appear first in searches and matches. Profiles and pictures are reviewed before being made available, so keep everything clean, just like you could show it to your mother.

CHANGES WE'D LIKE TO SEE: (Suggested Nov 2003) Faster loading pages, more help in-depth help topics about all the features. A way to register and not have to wait for the activation email before you can contact others.
