WHAT WE FOUND: Membership and full access to all features is free. Becoming a member is a two process, complete your signup and profile then confirm your membership. Basic information with birth date and location then the second step is appearance, lifestyle and About You. Then there is mini profile (username, headline, blurb about yourself), photo and password. Final step is to invite your friends to join (optional). After signing up and verifying email, profile will be placed at the top of the list for Newest Members on front page. What you’ll find is a totally free site, although under your profile options (email, add as friend, etc.) there are links to other affiliate sites (advertising). Under each profile is a Testimonial section that other users can post to about that individual. Options for each profile are Email this User, Add to Favorites, Add as Friend, Report Abuse, and Send to Friend. After signing in, it will take you to your Recent Activities, which include New Emails, New Mutual Matches, how many people have viewed you, how many people have added you as a favourite, Friend Requests and New Testimonials. Searches can be done by Basic, Advanced (by hair color, height, lifestyle, etc), Who’s Online, Mutual Match, and Interests. Mutual Match is where you are shown profiles that match your interest, you choose either Yes, No, Maybe. If you choose Yes or Maybe your profile will be shown to them and if they want to meet you then you have a Mutual Match. One thing I did notice is when I did a basic search, to within 150 miles of my postal code, it gave me results from people as far away as Victoria, BC. And even into Washington state, well over 600km away. There is also an instant messaging system for those who are online. Just click on the instant message button on their profile. There is also a Community Forums section where people can post about various topics. You don’t need to be a user in order to view the postings. They also provide a FAQ section and a Give Us Feedback section which is a forum, under the Communities section, so it’s not anonymous and everyone can read it.

WHAT YOU'LL FIND: Members are mostly from the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the U.K., although they do have members world-wide. Everything is totally free on the site. Sign up is basic, easy and quick, but if you don’t write up a lot of information about yourself it’s difficult to know about the person in more detail. Your account and notifications are all in one, simple location. Searches are either basic or advanced but we found that they weren’t accurate when putting in a distance from a postal code/zip code. The navigation is easy to use and look at but they also add a lot of ads to each page on their site. If you have a problem you have to use the forum which is made public not only to users but also nonusers.
