WHAT WE FOUND: Perfect Match has created a great service that works for you not just finding matches to your profile but matches to your personality. Joining is easy and takes about 20 minutes to complete the preliminary 5 sections that make up your profile, Essentials; DealBreakers; Values and Ideals; The Personality Profiler; Life and LoveStyle. These sections must be completed before you can start using the service, even as a basic (free) member. When completed you’ll be ready to send “Ice Breaker” questions to other members, although to communicate more than with the “Ice Breakers” you’ll need to be a premium member.
We like that you can start searching through the membership for your own match while the Perfect Match system is working for you as well, although searches are limited for basic members. This way your wait doesn’t seem so long for the compatibility system to work.
After a few days, depending on your location, profile preferences and the answers to the questions you first completed with your basic membership, you will start to receive emails from Perfect Match (if you allow them to email you, or else login to your account) of the members that are compatible with you.
You can re-take most questionnaires to change the types of matches you receive, or to update your profile should your preferences change. Keep in mind, the matches you are presented with are based on the answers you provided. Perfect match works best when you are honest in your self-appraisal and desires of what you want in another person. We like the “Connections” section, the magazine area of Perfect Match.
Keep busy there answering Dr. Pepper’s quizzes and reading the articles and watching the videos. You’ll enjoy yourself and learn about yourself and others as well. Click on the “Search” tab and you’ll be presented with possible matches and available profiles of interesting members.
Complete with the profiles are the score indicators of the initial signup questions so you can compare yourself to each search result member. Remember to return to your “Home” account page and complete your profile management section for your own words and pictures to be seen in search results. You can also ask for a Perfect Match staff member to review your profile and offer suggestions of changes to make your profile more attractive to other members.
Overall our review of Perfect Match showed what a compatibility dating service is really all about, with enough of the right questions to find the right personalities of members to match up with and enough flexibility that you can search on your own for other members as well. To take full advantage of the Perfect Match membership you do need to be a premium member, and we have found that not only are the membership rates reasonable but you really get value for your dollar here.
