WHAT THEY SAY: Tagged is the 3rd largest social network in the US, and has over 80 million members worldwide. Members use Tagged to keep in touch with friends and to make new ones.
WHAT WE FOUND: Tagged.com is an interesting site. If you have time to play, want to meet people in a fun way, then this is a service to join. But don't expect too much from this top ten social site, I was disappointed with the amount of ads and the excuse for a need to buy gold to send gifts to people, to send "luv" for a membership fee and to use gold as payment in other features of the site, many that are available on other social sites without a price.
The use of third party sites for personals takes this site down with it. Or was it just the amount of ads I saw as I first visited the 'wink' section. I guess when nobody winks at you, your choice is to click a personals ad. Again, very disappointing.
At least the basics are well laid out and explained. You can 'skin' your profile page, have a custom url (your profile web address, formally called a Universal Resource Locator'), join and create groups and a lot more fun things that will keep you entertained and busy, should you make it so far into this service's usable areas.
Don't let me bum you out of trying tagged.com, just don't expect more effort from them than you put in yourself. Please join our newsletter to know when this review will be completed.
WHAT YOU'LL FIND: Tagged is a social networking site where people keep in touch with friends and develop new connections. Our members meet one another, make friendships, share common interests, find love, and much more. We are guided by the original promise of the Internet – to make the world a smaller and more connected place – and our mission is to be the place for meeting new people online.
Millions of new connections are formed on Tagged every single day between people from all over the world. Tagged was founded in October 2004 by Greg Tseng and Johann Schleier-Smith and is based in San Francisco, California.
A straightforward social networking service with some fun things to do. Maybe add me as a friend when you join for free?
