Memorial Day,
celebrated the last Monday in May (in 2008 it's on May 26), is observed to pay tribute to those that have paid the ultimate
sacrifice in defense of our freedom.
Traditional Memorial Day remembrance activities:
- Fly the flag at half mast until noon
- Participate in a memorial celebration
- Offer a minute of silence and contemplation at 3:00pm
Memorial Day (weekend) parties consist of celebrating freedom
with family and friends. Customary BBQ's, family and friend
get-togethers and how you decorate makes all the difference. We
have found for you fun decorations, patriotic music and costumes
to make your party fun for all!
Food:
Any of the standard
picnic or BBQ foods will make your get-together special.
Potato salad,
steaks on the grill, together with plenty of refreshments are
the basics needed for your successful party. Add plenty of
finger food
and sodas for the kids and you're completely ready for the good
times to begin.

Setting up for your party:
Decorations are a must for
this celebration. Add and American Flag to your front door, add some
streamers from your eaves, trees and/or front door. Even if you live in
an apartment you can have
streamers from
your balcony to show all that can see how committed you are in the
distinctiveness of the USA.

Everyone loves
